What to look out for if purchasing a 2nd hand massage table
If you are set on a 2nd hand table, here are some points to check out before you purchase:
1) Make sure the foam is not ripped, stretched or stained?
2) Has the foam started to come loose under the covering?
3) Are any hinges broken?
4) Are the screws still firmly in place or have the sockets over-widened?
5) What repairs to the table have been made in the past?
6) Does the table smell?
It would be a good idea to view the table before a purchase is made. If the person selling the table does not seem to want to let you do this - there is probably a reason for it.
A Tip for Getting New Clients
A good business idea is to have a massage chair at a market this attracts people (whilst in the middle of shopping its great for them to sit and get a massage) - charge for 5 minutes or similar. You could even go as far as to give feet massages whilst they are relaxing. Give out leaflets / business cards - get your business out there. Sell massage oils etc.
